Back from holiday

I’m back from my 8-day holiday to Lanzarote (Canary Islands) and starting work again today. Lots of work to do (finishing five projects with tight deadlines), so I don’t know if I’ll be able to do any blogging the coming few weeks.

Good customer service: JustEat.nl

Yesterday evening I experienced some good customer service by JustEat.nl (formerly known as hapgids.nl). Imagine it’s 8:30pm and you haven’t had any food yet (despite leaving the office early at 4:30pm, but then finding out that the trains don’t run on some part of the track and you need to take the two hour detour). I log on to JustEat.nl and order some fast food with a local company, like I have done with the same company in the past. Delivery is estimated within 40 minutes, but after an hour I get the feeling something is wrong. I had this in the past when ordering through another service, couldn’t reach anyone and I could only go to bed hungry. So it’s 9:30pm, and with almost all food deliveries and all supermarkets closing at 10pm I need to think fast. Tried calling the fast food joint, but no answer. Tried a second and third time.
